Click on ‘References’ at the top and then on ‘Insert Footnote’. To create a footnote in Microsoft Word, click your mouse on the place you want it to refer to. In this system, citations are put in footnotes at the bottom of the page. If you are a post-graduate law student, you are required to use this referencing system.
